October 30, 2020 UPDATE:
As of recently, the Hillside Community Church's senior pastor position has been placed on a number of listing sites for pastors and we have begun to receive resumes. We are currently in the process of reviewing candidates and have begun first round interviews. This may take a while. We do not want to rush this part of the process. After reviewing the resumes and first round of interviews, the next step will be to either move forward to second interviews with the candidate(s) or wish them the best on the location God would have them lead.
Please continue to pray for the search team committee. We are leaning on His discernment and wisdom in this process of who the Lord would have lead His church.
As always, please let us know any questions and we welcome your input on the process. We, as a Hillside Family, all want the best for God's church.
Trusting Him together, we are excited for what God has planned for Hillside!

Hillside's Pastor Search Committee
|
The search committee has analyzed the results of the congregational survey, and we are now in the process of finishing up the Senior Pastor Job Description and the Pastoral Profile documents. This information will be forwarded to Dan Scarrow, District Superintendent North Central District of the C&MA. Dan will seek out candidates that are a strong fit for Hillside. Pastor Nate will be in this candidate pool as he has expressed interest in the Senior Pastor position. We are excited to have Nate as an option, and will consider him as a potential direction that God could lead our church.
According to Dan, we can expect this search to last for 6-18 months. Thank you for all that you have already done to keep Hillside's ministry effective during this time. Please keep up the good work! Transition can be challenging, but I am excited to see where God leads Hillside through all of this! In Christ, Chad Heckathorn |
